Rod is going to the Mobile Bay instead of over to Bahrain for 12-18 months.
We found out today that he will be going sometime around April 15th.
He will leave his current command on March 31 and then be on leave until he checks into his new duty station.
The ship left on Friday for a 5 month deployment so he will be flying over to meet the ship wherever it is.
Not sure exactly which day he will be flying out but I'm sure that it will come to soon.
Still beats a year or a year and a half gone.
He should be home in August!

That is totally wonderful. The good Lord certainly was watching closely over you!!! I'm am so glad that he will be back in time for the new arrival!!!
