New Climber

I love Craigslist! I had been looking for this particular climber. It's big enough that more than one child can play on it but small enough that it doesn't take up the entire backyard. It also has no swings on it so need to worry about kids getting kicked while trying to traverse the backyard.

Well I had looked around for this climber but I couldn't afford to pay full price for it and I had only seen one or two listed on craigslist. Well I went on Thursday to look at something and decided to search for this climber to see if any had been listed. This one had JUST been listed and was half the price of it new.

I emailed the person and they said it hadn't been spoken for so we drove up to get it after church today. It was up in Carlsbad but still cheaper than buying a new one AND it was already put together. We took the seats out of the van, removed the bridge and all the pieces fit right in.

Now we just need to get the rest of the fence finished. The climber is two years old and it still looks brand new!

A day at the park

With all the other kids in school we headed off for a playtime at the park and to get some pictures.

Well we got a few pictures of Cavelle and Taniyah

But true to his nature Cavelle didn't last long in his stroller

and Taniyah pretty much just wandered around seeing what all the other kids were doing but didn't want to play with any of them so our trip to the park was short lived!

First Day of School 2007

All the kids are back to school for another year.

Makkiah is in 1st grade, Jaleel is in 4th grade and Destini is in 5th grade.

Brayana and Micheal (our neighbor who practicly lives at our house) are in sixth grade

Raquel is a Freshman this year!

Ladaria is a Sophomore!

Tyreque is a Junior!

The younger and middle kids all started school on August 15th. The high schoolers all started school on August 20th. They are all glad to be back in school. Glad to see old friends and make new friends. Glad to see some teachers but not others.

Looking forward to another year of growth and learning. It's hard to believe that next year I will have my first graduate!

Is it time

to update yet? I'll try to come back this evening and do that. I have pictures from the first day of school and the baby.
